The challenge

Where people invest financially has a significant impact on how the world evolves. So far, profit alone has been the key incentive for the majority of investors. However, with the increasing urgency of global, societal and environmental issues, long-term investments require a completely new perspective: One that helps maintain the world through forward-looking investments. Globalance Bank — a Swiss private bank that operates globally — responds to this need. They want to increase transparency for investments, and help their clients and potential new investors understand the extensive effect of their wealth on the world. Globalance Bank approached CLEVER°FRANKE to create a solution that will help them communicate this ambition distinctively.

Value delivered

Turning abstract global data into a tangible and relatable experience while creating the most accessible and comprehensive investment platform to shape a sustainable future. Our solution positions Globalance Bank as the leader of positive change in the investment banking industry.

We first worked on defining the strategic business goals of D.M.T. for this project during a kick-off workshop. We conducted several interviews to understand the pain points of technical and non-technical members, as well as the external stakeholders!

With online and offline shopping experiences becoming increasingly intertwined, marketing professionals are faced with new challenges. Google’s Consumer Barometer is a global research project that Google established to give insights into how consumers use online and offline media in their purchase process and decisions.

Google approached us to redesign the platform so that it would provide a new interactive experience and devise a repository that would not only appeal to ‘power users’, but also attract new and first-time marketing professionals. With this project, we set a new benchmark for making complex research easy to comprehend and provided a solution for Google to further position itself as a thought leader in the field of online channel research.

While building this tool, we also focused on users' ability to gather insights based on their interests by selecting countries, product groups and audiences and aimed at developing an explorative interface and a graphing tool that allow them to quickly dive into and explore specific data sets.

Now that we are collecting more and more data, we know more about a specific neighborhood. We can map the average income, the number of soot particles in the air, the number of single people that live there, and even the state of mind of the inhabitants. But, do we really want to know all that? How can we initiate a conversation about this?

All data per country is acquired from CSV files. This data is grouped based on percentages per question and other relevant dimensions (e.g. age, country, etc). The results are then arranged into efficient data structures for the microsite to use, which in turn uses its own graphing libraries to create interactive visualizations. The same aggregation methods are used to render the data to graphs that appear in the report.
