For GeoIQ's 'Enterprise' product we designed a Twitter analysis tool in collaboration with User Intelligence.

The analysis tool visualizes Twitter messages (Tweets) that contain specific keywords. By means of three location types, the Geo-location, IP address or Twitter profile location, the messages are plotted on an interactive map. This provides the user with insights into the online discussion of a specific topic in relation to what is being said, time and location.

Besides location type, the tool also distills and analyses sentiment from Tweets and users are able to understand the online mood during special promotions. The tool provides the ability to recognize patterns, but also drill down to the individual message level to view its content.

GeoIQ develops location analysis software for both public use - GeoCommons - and customized for clients under the Enterprise label. the first completely web-based location analysis platform with the capability to unleash a world of dynamic location information that had previously been locked in proprietary databases. 

The first version of the GeoIQ platform was launched through their community site, GeoCommons, which has since been adopted by more than 30,000 users around the world.
